1. Description of Our Team

   
  Our team has 4 members.Josip Kolic(15)-webmaster;Ljubinka Zafirova(16)-translator:Slagjana Miteva(16)-translator:Vangelija Dulgerova(16)-person for contact.We joined this team beacause we see our project ' Wind as alternative energy source ' as a challenge for cleaner environment and also very important as an invovative way for producing energy.The wind as an energy source doesn't affect our environment and it's free.Our adult coach is our physics teacher Stojan Manolev.He gave us instructions how to handle this project and also he helped us a lot with his knowedge in energy and physics.
 
 
 
   
  2. Summary of Our Project
   
  This project is about wind energy as an alternative way in producing energy . We are aware of the lack of energy and we choose this kind of energy beacause it's ecological and more cheap than other kind of energy sources.We also choose this energy beacause in our country big percent of energy is produced in thermocentrals and a just a little percent is produced by hydrocentrals and that energy is cheaper than the energy which is produced in thermocentrals.But in our country there aren't any wind turbines altough there are conditions to exist some.

    4. Problems We Had To Overcome
     
    We had some problems with the creation of the web pages and we asked for help at our Computer Technology's Teacher.
 
     
    5. Our Project Sound Bite
     
    We want to promote a new way in producing energy , a way that is going to be usefull for our country especially for our region.This way of producing energy won't affect our environment and maybe it will be a way to improve our life standard.
   
   
     
   

6. How did your activities and research for this Doors to Diplomacy Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

 
     
    With this project we learned more about wind energy and its use in real life.We used the Internet to getting informations about our project.We showed our informations to the other students and to the other teachers in our school.They became very interested in our project and even wanted to be involved in it.

    1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your Doors to Diplomacy project?
     
   

We used the Internet for getting informations about our project.We used Macromedia Dreamweaver MX to build our web site.Also we used computer encyclopedies.

   
     
   

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your Doors to Diplomacy project both on-line and in person.

 
     
    With this project we promote our contry's conditions for producing wind energy.We want to show the people that there are other ways of producing energy , ways that are cheaper and regenerative.They also don't affect environment.We also hope that the people will become aware of the lack of the energy and that this project will make them start saving the energy but also support the new ways of producing.
   
   
   
     
   

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

     
    With this web site we hope that people will understand the real meaning of the energy .This web site is especiallly interesting for our community(region) , beacause here we have conditions for our ides to become reality.In addition to this we can say that our region is suitable for using not only the energy of the wind but also the energy of the sun and the rivers.We hope that some of the visitors of our web site will be inspirated to start some new projects about the use of these kinds of energy.
   
   
   
   
     
   

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

     
    At the begging we were supported only from our teachers and some of the students.But later many people wanted to be involved in our project beacause they realized that our project can become reallity.
   
     
    5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)
     
    During the research we were supprised of the fact that we were the only one who were interested in this kind of energy .
